This is my first “My Shae Noel-Things I Think are Wonderful List”. I am excited to start doing this feature on my blog because I think that their are so many amazing and wonderful ideas out there in blogland. So, if you are featured, grab one of my buttons on my side bar.
Since I have always had a love for dolls and so do both of my girls, I thought that a doll inspired list would be a great list to start out with. I am sure the topic of dolls will come up often on this blog.
Things I Think are Wonderful List: Doll Inspired
“Tangled” inspired Rapunzel Tower by Pink and Green Mama
The first thing I think is wonderful comes from Pink and Green Mama Blog. Marylea who has the blog has got to be one of the most creative moms out their. I love the fact that like me she has two daughters, she has a love for the arts, and they are always doing fun arts and craft projects at their house.
When I saw this cardboard Rapunzel Tower that she made for her daughter’s Barbies I about died (or my youngest would say, “Mom you mean you almost went into a deep, deep, sleep.”) Seriously, is this not the cutest most clever thing EVER? And it is made form recycled items they had lying around their house.
My girls were so excited when I showed them this tower that we went out and bought some spray paint, small silk flowers, and gathered up our own recycled boxes to recreate this Rapunzel tower. We will probably be making it for Polly Pocket sized dolls, but that is going to be our big craft project for our Spring Break next week. I will have to show you the end results. We just can’t wait to get started and what perfect timing since “Tangled” is being released on Tuesday. If you haven’t seen the show, you have to! It is SO darling! Well worth buying the DVD without even seeing it in the movie theaters.
Click on Pink and Green Mama to see more pictures on how she made it.
Aren’t these paper dolls just darling? Head on over to Babalisme to download these cute paper doll printables for free. She has quite a few more paper doll sets that you can download as well. My girls love playing with paper dolls and we have made quite a few of her cute sets.

Rapunzel Hair Bow Sculpture by Pixie Pretties
Since I am in love with Etsy and Hair Bows for my daughters, I was looking around for a Rapunzel Hair Bow and I came across this one from Pixie Pretties. I know my girls would just love wearing this hair bow in their hair! Click on Pixie Pretties to go to their website. They can also be found on Etsy by clicking HERE.
Here is another darling hairbow by funnykindagirl.etsy.com. I have bought several of her hairbows & we have loved each and everyone. My girls love wearing them and they always get so many compliments! We have Little Mermaid, Dorothy and Toto, Olivia, and Princess Tiana. Funny Kinda Girls hairbows are quality made and even cuter in person. This is Little Blonde sporting her Olivia hairbow.
This is the Tiana bow I got Little Red for her birthday. Darling!
Isn’t this the cutest idea to make your own fashion paper dolls? All you need are a few paper scraps and old magazines to make these cute dolls. Click on Giddy Giddy to be taken to this fun tutorial.
Last but certainly not least, look at this sweet cloth doll made by the very talented Bybido. I just love cloth dolls. In fact I just bought a vintage cloth doll from the 30’s-40’s at a doll show this past weekend. My daughters and I go every year and I will have to do a post on it later on.
