I thought that I would share a couple of Turkey themed ideas with you that I used when I taught preschool.
Simple Turkey Snack
My students all enjoyed making these cute, yet simple turkeys for snack time.
Here are the ingredients needed to make the cookies: sugar cookies, frosting,
raisins, and candy corn.
Turkey Songs
10 Little Turkeys Song(Tune of “Ten Little
Indians)
One little, two little,
Three little turkeys;
Four little,
five little
Six little turkeys;
Seven little, eight little,
Nine little
turkeys,
Ten turkeys running to hide!
Turkey
Trot…
(Hokey Pokey)
You put your right wing (arm)
in.
You put your right wing out.

Turkey Large Motor Game
Pilgrim, Pilgrim, Turkey Game(like duck, duck,
goose)
Sit in a circle facing each other. Have someone be “it”. The
person that is “it” walks around the outside of the circle, and as they walk
around the outside of the circle they gently tap the other participants’ heads
and say whether they are a “Pilgrim” or a “Turkey”. When someone is tagged the
“Turkey” they get up and try to chase the person that is “it” around the circle.
The goal is for the person who is tagged “Turkey” to touch the person who is
“it” before they are able to sit down in their spot. If “Turkey” is not able to
do this, they become “it” for the next round and play continues. If they do tag
“it”, the person tagged has to sit in the center of the circle. They can’t leave
until another person is tagged. Then the “Turkey” becomes “it” for the next
round. So fun!
